Animals are Our Friends
The week before last week, our class had a very interesting English performance competition. Every student in our class participated in it. We were required to divide into different groups and perform in three different forms, namely interview, short play and crosstalk. Even though there was little time to prepare, the students were very active. The participants used their leisure time and recess time to make plays and rehearse. On the day before, we discussed in small groups, revised the manuscript over and over, and rehearsed.
That day soon came. The sun was shining, with the autumn wind blowing across the campus, and the golden ginkgo tree leaves dancing gracefully and quietly.
According to the registered order, Vivian, our English teacher, invited each group to the front. All the teams’ shows were very nice and fascinating. Some of us played a reporter, some played a passer-by, and more interestingly, some played a dog. Through the performances of different styles, we felt the students' understanding of animals. The most funny and impressive performance was given by Tiger's group. The words "SPCA" and "open the door" made the whole class laugh, but what attracted me most was the content of their stories. They told about the results of a man who abused animals after being found by SPCA, which was really memorable.
This activity not only let us know different students' understanding and opinions about pets as our friends, but also let us become more united, harmonious and learn to cooperate. It was a very meaningful and interesting activity. We hope there will be more interesting activities in our class!
